Heavy Heads are a Portland, Oregon-based band formed in 2014, known for their unique blend of post-punk, noise rock, and art-punk influences. Initially a solo project of songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Ben Eberle, the group solidified with the addition of members from other Portland music scene staples like Lithics and Garek.

Their sound is characterized by angular guitar work, driving rhythms, and Eberle’s distinctive, often spoken-word vocal delivery. Heavy Heads have released three full-length albums: *Sick Times* (2018), *Spiderland* (2020 – not a cover album despite the name), and *Around the Block* (2023), all on Perpetual Doom Records.

Critically acclaimed for their raw energy and intelligent songwriting, they've toured extensively across the US and Europe, sharing stages with acts like Protomartyr and Preoccupations. *Around the Block* received particularly positive reviews, lauded for its increased melodic sensibility while retaining their signature intensity. They consistently garner attention from publications like Pitchfork and Stereogum for their uncompromising artistic vision and compelling live performances.
