Harry Christophers is a renowned British conductor and choral director, celebrated for his profound influence on early music performance. Born in 1953, Christophers founded The Sixteen in 1977, a world-class choir and period-instrument orchestra specializing in Renaissance and Baroque sacred music. Under his artistic leadership, The Sixteen has gained international acclaim for its pure tone, precision, and expressive interpretations.

Christophers’ conducting style emphasizes clarity, historical authenticity, and emotional depth, often drawing from extensive research into original manuscripts and performance practices.
