Hard Proof is a Massachusetts-based hip-hop producer and MC, known for his boom-bap influenced sound rooted in classic 90s New York hip-hop. Beginning his career in the late 1990s, he quickly gained recognition within the underground scene through instrumental production for artists like Edan and Mr. Lif. He’s a core member of the Boston hip-hop collective, Molemen, alongside Statik Selektah and DJ Adverse.

His solo work blends intricate sample-based beats with thoughtful, often politically conscious lyricism. Hard Proof released his debut album *Proof* in 2004 on Rawkus Records, followed by *Three Days of Heavy Breathing* (2007) and *The Turning Point* (2013). He frequently collaborates with a diverse range of artists including Masta Ace, Elzhi, and Reks.

Beyond albums, Hard Proof is highly respected for his extensive catalog of instrumental beat tapes and 7” vinyl releases. He continues to tour and produce, maintaining a consistent presence within independent hip-hop while consistently upholding the principles of golden era production techniques.
