Giedrė Šlekytė is a Lithuanian-born, Berlin-based vocalist, composer, and performance artist recognized for her experimental and intensely personal approach to music. Initially gaining prominence as the vocalist for electro-punk band Lemon Park (2008-2013), Šlekytė transitioned to a solo career characterized by deconstructed club music, spoken word, and explorations of identity, trauma, and the female experience.

Her debut album *Laimės. Melodija* (2016) established her signature style – a raw, emotionally vulnerable soundscape blending electronic textures with fragmented narratives often delivered in Lithuanian. Subsequent releases like *Quartz* (2019) and *Live at Berghain* (2021), recorded during a critically acclaimed performance at the renowned Berlin club, further cemented her reputation for captivating live performances and innovative sound design.

Šlekytė’s work frequently incorporates field recordings and utilizes auto-tune not as correction but as an expressive tool. She has collaborated with artists like Arca and toured extensively across Europe and North America, earning recognition from publications including *The Wire*, *Resident Advisor*, and *Pitchfork*.
