Smith’s solo work showcases his compositional prowess; his debut album *Quiet Revolution* (2021), released on Gearbox Records, received widespread praise for its intricate arrangements and emotive playing.
His style is characterized by a lyrical touch, sophisticated chord voicings influenced by McCoy Tyner and Brad Mehldau, and a rhythmic fluidity that draws from both jazz tradition and contemporary influences.
