Geir Lysne (born 1968) is a Norwegian composer and musician renowned for his atmospheric and emotionally resonant electronic music, often categorized as dark ambient, ethereal wave, and neoclassical darkwave. Beginning his musical journey in the early 1990s, Lysne initially gained recognition through collaborations and contributions to the burgeoning Scandinavian electronic scene.

He is the primary force behind several projects, most notably Lustmord & Geir Lysne, alongside Brian Williams of Lustmord, resulting in critically acclaimed albums like *Heresy* (1994) and *The Place Where Black Stars Hang* (1994). Lysne’s solo work, beginning with *Where Rainbows End* (1997), showcases his distinct style – characterized by deep drones, haunting soundscapes, processed vocals (often utilizing samples from ancient liturgical texts), and a focus on creating immersive sonic environments.
