Finghin Collins is a critically acclaimed Irish pianist, renowned for his insightful interpretations and compelling stage presence. Born in 1976, he studied at the Royal Irish Academy of Music and later with renowned pianist Dmitri Bashkirov at the Reina Sofia School in Madrid. Collins rose to international prominence winning the Gold Medal at the 1999 International Piano Competition in Dublin and becoming a British Council Young Concert Artist.

His repertoire spans a vast range, from Bach and Beethoven to Rachmaninoff and contemporary composers like Arvo Pärt. He is particularly lauded for his sensitive performances of Schubert and Chopin. Collins frequently performs as a soloist with leading orchestras worldwide, including the London Symphony Orchestra, the RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra, and the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra.

He’s a dedicated chamber musician, collaborating with artists such as violinist Anthony Marwood and cellist Adrian Brendel. A passionate educator, Collins is Professor of Piano at the Royal Academy of Music in London. His numerous recordings have received widespread critical acclaim, showcasing both technical brilliance and profound musicality.
