Experience Fabrizio Graceffa
Fabrizio Graceffa is an Italian-born, London-based composer, pianist, and sound artist whose work spans contemporary classical, ambient, and experimental electronic music. Trained classically at the Royal Academy of Music (RAM) in London, where he studied with renowned pianist Philip Miles, Graceffa’s compositions often explore the intersection of acoustic instruments and digital processing.
His debut album, *Solitaire* (2018), released on Room40, garnered critical acclaim for its delicate piano textures and atmospheric soundscapes. Subsequent releases like *Erosion* (2020) and *Resti* (2023) – also on Room40 – demonstrate a deepening exploration of granular synthesis and field recordings alongside his core piano work.
Graceffa’s music has been featured in installations at the Victoria & Albert Museum and has been commissioned by institutions including the Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival. He frequently performs solo piano concerts and live electronic sets internationally. His style is characterized by a minimalist aesthetic, a focus on timbre, and a profound sense of space; often described as both hauntingly beautiful and subtly unsettling. He continues to push boundaries within contemporary sound art, blending technical precision with emotional resonance.
