Experience Emmanuelle Haïm

Emmanuelle Haïm is a highly acclaimed French harpsichordist and conductor, celebrated for her dynamic interpretations of Baroque music. Trained at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris and with Gustav Leonhardt, she founded the ensemble Le Concert d'Astrée in 2003, quickly establishing it as a leading force in historically informed performance practice.

Haïm’s approach emphasizes rhythmic vitality and dramatic expression, moving away from overly academic readings of Baroque repertoire. She’s particularly renowned for her performances of Rameau, notably *Hippolyte et Aricie* (winning a Gramophone Award in 2016) and *Castor et Pollux*, both recorded with Le Concert d'Astrée.

Beyond opera, Haïm frequently performs solo harpsichord works and collaborates with contemporary composers. She has held positions as Artist-in-Residence at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées and the Cité de la Musique, and regularly appears at major international festivals. Her discography includes recordings of Couperin, Charpentier, and Lully, consistently receiving critical praise for their freshness and insight.
