Ema Nikolovska is a Macedonian-born vocalist and composer rapidly gaining international recognition for her distinctive blend of jazz, world music, and electronic soundscapes. Trained classically in piano and voice at the Faculty of Music in Skopje, she transitioned to exploring improvisation and extended vocal techniques.

Nikolovska’s career launched with collaborations featuring prominent Macedonian musicians before expanding to projects with artists across Europe, including performances at major jazz festivals like Jazz Cerkno (Slovenia) and Nisville Jazz Festival (Serbia). Her debut album, *Sunstone* (2021), released on Whirlwind Recordings, garnered critical acclaim for its innovative approach to vocal jazz and incorporation of Balkan folk melodies.

Known for her captivating stage presence and virtuosic vocal control – often employing looping and effects – Nikolovska’s style is characterized by atmospheric textures and emotionally resonant compositions. She frequently explores themes of identity, displacement, and connection to nature within her work. Recent projects include a residency at the European Centre for Jazz & Contemporary Music (Germany) and continued touring throughout Europe, solidifying her position as a rising star in contemporary vocal music.
