Ellen Andersson is a Swedish singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, best known as the vocalist and primary songwriter for the dream pop band Häxan. Emerging in the late 2000s, Häxan quickly garnered attention for their atmospheric soundscapes blending shoegaze, ethereal vocals, and elements of Swedish folk music. Andersson's songwriting often explores themes of nature, mythology, and personal introspection.

Prior to Häxan’s formation, Andersson was involved in various independent music projects within the Gothenburg scene. Häxan released their critically acclaimed debut album *Worst Case Scenario* in 2011, followed by *Puppy* in 2013, both on Labrador Records. The band toured extensively throughout Europe supporting acts like Beach House and enjoyed significant radio play on KEXP.

Andersson’s vocal style is characterized by its delicate yet powerful quality, often layered with reverb and harmonies. Beyond Häxan, she has contributed vocals to projects by artists like José González and released solo material showcasing a more stripped-down acoustic approach.
