Elisabeth Salaün is a French-Breton singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, deeply rooted in the traditions of Celtic music while forging a distinctly modern sound. Born in 1996 in Landerneau, Brittany, she initially trained classically on the violin before embracing the *nyckelharpa* (keyed fiddle), becoming one of France’s leading players of the instrument.

Salaün’s music blends Breton vocal techniques – often featuring *kan ha diskan* call-and-response singing – with influences from folk, jazz, and contemporary composition. She released her debut album, *Navigo*, in 2021 to critical acclaim, earning her a nomination for “Révélation Instrumentale” at the Les Victoires du Jazz awards.

Her subsequent album, *Sørpte*, released in 2023, further solidified her reputation for innovative arrangements and emotionally resonant performances. Salaün frequently collaborates with other artists across genres and actively promotes Breton culture through her work.
