Eleonora Kouneni is a Greek-born, UK-based composer and violinist whose work blends contemporary classical music with influences from folk traditions and electronic soundscapes. Trained classically at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama and Royal Academy of Music, she’s garnered recognition for her evocative and often emotionally charged compositions.

Kouneni's style is characterized by extended techniques on the violin, incorporating prepared violin and live looping to create layered textures. Her pieces frequently explore themes of memory, identity, and the natural world. She’s released several albums, including "Fragments of Memories" (2016) and "Liminal" (2023), receiving critical acclaim from publications like The Wire and BBC Radio 3’s *Late Night Extra*.

Beyond solo performance, Kouneni actively collaborates with artists across disciplines – dance, visual arts, and theatre – creating immersive multimedia experiences. She has been commissioned by ensembles such as the Kreutzer Quartet and received awards including a PRS Foundation New Music Biennial commission in 2023 for her piece “ECHO”. Her work consistently pushes boundaries within contemporary classical music, establishing her as a distinctive voice in the field.
