Drop Party is the collaborative project between Ben Browning (formerly of Committed to Complications) and producer/songwriter Ricky Montgomery. Emerging in 2017, the duo quickly gained traction with their distinctive blend of indie pop, electronic elements, and introspective lyricism. Their sound is characterized by layered vocals, atmospheric production, and a melancholic yet danceable energy – often described as “sad bops.”

Initially gaining momentum through self-released singles on platforms like SoundCloud, Drop Party signed with Nettwerk Music Group in 2018. Their debut EP, *Part 1*, followed shortly after, showcasing their evolving style. They've since released multiple EPs including *Part 2* and *Sleepwalking*, consistently amassing millions of streams across platforms like Spotify and Apple Music.

Notably, their track "Midnight" achieved viral success on TikTok in late 2023/early 2024, significantly boosting their profile and leading to inclusion on prominent playlists. Drop Party’s music has been featured in popular television shows and continues to resonate with a growing fanbase drawn to its emotionally resonant songwriting and unique sonic landscape. They are currently working on their first full-length album.
