The Dresden Philharmonic Children’s Choir (Kinderchor der Dresdner Philharmonie) is a highly acclaimed German vocal ensemble, established in 1947 as one of the first children’s choirs associated with a German symphony orchestra. Originally founded by Kurt Richter, it currently operates under the direction of Florian Dombois. The choir comprises approximately 200 children aged 5-18, divided into age-based groups to ensure vocal health and development.

Renowned for its exceptional discipline, purity of tone, and musicality, the choir regularly performs alongside the Dresden Philharmonic Orchestra in major concert halls globally, including the Semperoper Dresden and prominent venues internationally. Their repertoire spans a vast range – from Baroque masterpieces and classical works to contemporary compositions specifically written for them. They've collaborated with conductors like Riccardo Chailly and Christian Thielemann.

The choir has released numerous recordings on labels like Deutsche Grammophon, earning accolades for their interpretations of works by composers such as Mahler, Britten, and Orff’s *Carmina Burana*.
