Experience Double Vision
Double Vision was a Canadian rock band prominent throughout the 1980s, achieving significant success primarily in Canada but also gaining traction in the US. Formed in 1982 in Toronto, Ontario, the band comprised vocalist/guitarist Bill Durst, guitarist/vocalist James “Jim” Vallance (also a prolific songwriter for Bryan Adams & KISS), bassist Bernie Aubin, and drummer Donny Hesp.
Their sound blended melodic hard rock with new wave influences, often featuring layered harmonies and strong guitar work. Double Vision released three studio albums: *Double Vision* (1985), *Into the Fire* (1986), and *Double Vision III* (1989).
The band is best known for their hit single "Wear Your Love Like Heaven," which reached #1 on Canadian radio in 1985 and charted on the Billboard Hot 100. Other charting singles included "Highways" and "I'm Alright." Despite critical acclaim and commercial success, internal tensions led to their disbandment in 1989. Jim Vallance continued a successful career as a songwriter and producer.
