Dorothee Mields is a German composer, singer, and performer renowned for her innovative vocal looping techniques and emotionally resonant songwriting. Emerging from Berlin’s experimental music scene in the early 2010s, Mields initially gained recognition through live performances utilizing a complex setup of loop stations, effects pedals, and extended vocal techniques. Her self-released debut album, *Seele*, (2014) showcased this approach, building layered soundscapes entirely from her voice.

Mields' style blends elements of avant-garde, art pop, and electronic music with a distinctly intimate and often melancholic lyrical focus. She frequently explores themes of memory, loss, and the human condition.
