Dick Valentine is the frontman, songwriter, and primary creative force behind the American power pop band Electric Six (originally known as The Wildbunch). Born Richard Stephen Valentine in 1972, he began his musical career in Detroit, Michigan, initially exploring various genres before solidifying Electric Six’s distinctive sound in the late 1990s.

Valentine's songwriting is characterized by sardonic wit, often tackling themes of lust, obsession, and suburban alienation with a darkly comedic edge. Musically, Electric Six blends garage rock energy with dance-punk rhythms and a heavy dose of synth-driven melodies – a style frequently dubbed “dance-punk.”

Beyond Electric Six, Valentine also records and performs under the alias *Dälek*, a more experimental electronic project. He’s released numerous albums with both acts and consistently tours internationally. Electric Six has achieved significant independent success with tracks like "Danger! High Voltage," which gained further prominence through its use in commercials and media. Valentine's prolific output and unique artistic vision have cultivated a dedicated cult following over two decades. He remains an active figure in the Detroit music scene.
