Dezron Douglas is a highly sought-after American jazz guitarist and composer, steadily building a reputation as a modern master of the instrument. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Douglas honed his skills early, studying with renowned instructors and performing extensively in the Midwest before relocating to New York City in 2008. He quickly became a fixture on the city’s vibrant jazz scene, collaborating with luminaries like McCoy Tyner, Wynton Marsalis, and Vijay Iyer.

Douglas's style is deeply rooted in the tradition of Wes Montgomery and Joe Pass, yet infused with a distinctly contemporary harmonic sensibility and rhythmic complexity. He’s known for his warm tone, fluid phrasing, and improvisational prowess. Beyond sideman work, Douglas leads his own ensembles and has released critically acclaimed albums including *Liberated Sounds* (2016) and *Atalaya* (2019), showcasing his compositions which often explore themes of Black American history and identity.

He's a current member of the Grammy-winning Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra and frequently performs globally. Douglas also dedicates time to education, holding workshops and masterclasses.
