Experience David Lescot
David Lescot is a French house music producer and DJ, pivotal in the early 2000s French touch scene. Rising to prominence alongside artists like Daft Punk and Cassius, Lescot initially gained recognition for his remix of Armand Van Helden’s “U Got 2 Let The Music Play” in 1999, which became a massive club hit and helped define the filter house sound.
His debut album, *Comin’ Soon* (2001), released on Crydamoure (the label co-founded by Shazz), showcased his signature blend of disco samples, funky basslines, and meticulously crafted production. Lescot’s style is characterized by its warm, analog feel and emphasis on groove – a sophisticated take on classic house music.
Beyond his solo work, he's a prolific remixer, having touched tracks by artists ranging from Björk to Air. Though less commercially visible in recent years, Lescot continues to DJ internationally and remains highly respected within the electronic music community for his influence on the French house movement and dedication to quality sound. He consistently champions a refined, sample-based approach to dance music production.
