Danilo Pérez is a renowned Panamanian jazz pianist, composer, and educator celebrated for his innovative fusion of Latin American rhythms with contemporary jazz. Born in Panama City in 1965, Pérez began his musical journey early, studying classical piano before immersing himself in jazz. His career took a significant leap when he joined the legendary Wayne Shorter Quartet in the 1990s, contributing to critically acclaimed albums and world tours that solidified his reputation on the global jazz stage.

Pérez’s style is distinguished by its vibrant blend of Afro-Panamanian folklore, Caribbean beats, and sophisticated jazz harmonies, creating a unique sound that bridges cultural traditions with modern improvisation.
