Danae Dörken is a German-American vocalist and composer rapidly gaining recognition for her uniquely atmospheric and emotionally resonant music. Born in Germany and raised internationally, Dörken blends jazz improvisation, contemporary classical elements, and electronic soundscapes into a captivating sonic world. She formally studied jazz vocals at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater München, graduating in 2021.

Her debut album, *Fractals* (2023), released on Neue Meister, received critical acclaim for its intricate vocal arrangements and Dörken’s expressive range – often described as ethereal and intensely personal. Prior to this, she was a prominent member of the a cappella quartet *Resolve*, winning the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella (ICCA) in 2018.

Dörken’s compositions frequently explore themes of memory, identity, and the human condition. She utilizes extended vocal techniques alongside looping and effects processing to create layered textures. Performances showcase not only her vocal prowess but also her skill as a live looper and improviser. She's toured extensively across Europe and is increasingly performing at international jazz festivals. Her work consistently pushes boundaries within contemporary vocal music.
