Dana Herz is a versatile American vocalist, composer, and multi-instrumentalist known for her work spanning contemporary classical, jazz, and experimental music. Originally trained as a classical pianist at the New England Conservatory of Music, Herz transitioned to vocal performance and composition, developing a distinctive style characterized by extended vocal techniques, intricate harmonies, and emotionally resonant storytelling.

She gained prominence with her debut album *Liquid Bones* (2018), praised for its innovative soundscapes and lyrical depth exploring themes of memory and identity. Subsequent releases include *Omnia* (2020) featuring collaborations with renowned improvisers, and *The Weight of Petals* (2023), showcasing her evolving compositional voice.
