Dagadana is a German-born, internationally acclaimed percussionist and multi-instrumentalist specializing in frame drums and overtone singing. Beginning her musical journey with classical piano, she transitioned to Middle Eastern percussion in the late 1990s, studying extensively with master musicians in Turkey and Egypt. This immersion deeply influenced her signature style, blending traditional rhythms with contemporary soundscapes.

She’s renowned for her virtuosity on the daf (Persian frame drum) and bendir, alongside vocal techniques utilizing harmonic overtone singing – a practice she learned from Tuvan throat singers. Dagadana has released several solo albums including "Anasthasia" (2008) and “Equilibrium” (2016), receiving critical praise for their meditative quality and rhythmic complexity.

Beyond solo work, she frequently collaborates with artists across genres – from electronic music producers like Stellardrone to world music ensembles – and composes scores for film and theatre. A sought-after workshop leader, Dagadana shares her expertise globally, teaching percussion, overtone singing, and improvisation.
