Constança Quinteiro (born 1989, Porto, Portugal) is a vocalist, composer, and improviser deeply rooted in contemporary jazz and experimental music. She gained prominence as a member of the Lisbon-based collective and record label, Clean Feed Records, contributing to numerous projects showcasing innovative Portuguese improvisation. Quinteiro’s vocal style is characterized by extended techniques – incorporating non-verbal sounds, textural exploration, and a rejection of conventional phrasing – alongside lyrical interpretations often drawing from poetry.

Her debut solo album, *Submersa* (2023), released on Clean Feed, received critical acclaim for its introspective atmosphere and daring vocal approach. Prior to this, she collaborated extensively with artists like Rodrigo Amado, Gabriel Ferrandini, and John Dikeman, appearing on albums such as *O Corpo Sutil* (Rodrigo Amado Quartet feat. Constança Quinteiro).

Quinteiro frequently performs internationally at festivals dedicated to improvised music and avant-garde jazz. She holds a Master's degree in Jazz Performance from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and continues to push boundaries within vocal music through performance and composition, exploring themes of memory, identity and the natural world.
