Concerto Copenhagen, founded in 1993 by harpsichordist Lars Ulrik Mortensen, is a leading historically informed performance ensemble specializing in Baroque and early Classical music. The orchestra distinguishes itself through its vibrant, energetic interpretations and commitment to scholarly research, aiming to recreate the sound world as it would have been experienced during the 17th and 18th centuries.

Initially focused on Vivaldi’s orchestral works – achieving international recognition for their complete Vivaldi orchestral cycle – Concerto Copenhagen’s repertoire has expanded considerably. They regularly perform with renowned vocalists and instrumentalists, exploring composers like Bach, Handel, Telemann, and Haydn.

The ensemble boasts numerous award-winning recordings on labels like Channel Classics, including a Gramophone Editor's Choice award for their Handel opera *Radamisto*.
