Chris Fishman is a highly respected American drummer, composer, and educator, primarily known for his extensive work within the progressive rock and jazz fusion genres. He gained prominence as a long-standing member of the acclaimed band, Attention, alongside keyboardist Mark Zonder (formerly of Fates Warning). Fishman’s drumming is characterized by its technical proficiency, dynamic range, and melodic sensibility – often incorporating complex polyrhythms and nuanced cymbal work.

Beyond Attention, he’s collaborated with numerous artists including Gregg Allman, Allan Holdsworth (posthumously completing unfinished projects), and released several solo albums showcasing his compositional skills. These include “Suburban Skies” (2006) and “The Geometry of Passion” (2017), demonstrating a blend of instrumental rock, jazz improvisation and electronic elements.
