Chasing the Moon is a Canadian indie-folk duo comprised of vocalist/songwriter Sarah MacLean and multi-instrumentalist Josh Lyon. Formed in 2017, they quickly gained recognition for their hauntingly beautiful harmonies and atmospheric soundscapes. Prior to Chasing the Moon, MacLean established herself as a successful solo artist with placements in television (including *Grey's Anatomy* and *The Bold Type*) and film. Lyon boasts an extensive background as a session musician, having collaborated with artists like Bahamas and Ron Sexsmith.

Their music blends elements of folk, dream-pop, and ambient electronica, often featuring layered vocals, delicate guitar work, and subtle electronic textures. Chasing the Moon released their self-titled debut EP in 2018, followed by the critically acclaimed album *Forage* in 2020. *Forage* garnered significant press coverage from outlets like American Songwriter and CBC Music, praised for its lyrical depth and evocative production. In 2023 they released their second full-length album, *Bloom*. They have toured extensively across Canada and the US, building a dedicated fanbase drawn to their intimate live performances and emotionally resonant songwriting.
