Cenk (born Cenk Erdoğan, 1978, Istanbul, Turkey) is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, and producer renowned for his innovative blend of Anatolian folk music with electronic and ambient soundscapes. Initially gaining recognition as a founding member of the critically acclaimed Turkish psychedelic folk band Baba Zula in the late 1990s – where he played saz and electronics – Cenk embarked on a solo career in 2006.

His albums, including *Istanbul Psychedelic* (2013) and *Morphine* (2018), demonstrate a masterful layering of traditional instruments like the bağlama and ney with dub, electronica, and field recordings. Cenk's work frequently incorporates samples of Turkish spoken word poetry and historical recordings, creating a unique sonic tapestry. He’s collaborated with artists across diverse genres, including Brian Eno (remixing his *Small Space* track) and contributing to the soundtrack for the film *Sivas*.

Cenk's music has been featured in publications like *The Wire* and *Resident Advisor*, lauded for its atmospheric depth and cultural resonance.
