Carl Zinssou is a Beninese-French composer, multi-instrumentalist, and music producer renowned for his innovative blend of traditional African rhythms with electronic music. Born in Cotonou, Benin, and later based in France, Zinssou’s work actively bridges musical cultures. He initially gained recognition as a member of the electronic duo, Les Nubians’ live band, touring internationally.

His solo career blossomed with albums like *Agoromante* (2014) and *Étoile Noire* (2018), both critically acclaimed for their intricate arrangements featuring instruments like the kora, ngoni, and various percussion alongside synthesizers and electronic beats. Zinssou's style is often described as “Afro-futurism” or “ethno-electronic,” showcasing a deep respect for his Beninese heritage while embracing modern production techniques.

He's collaborated with artists across genres including Blick Bassy and has composed scores for film and theatre. A significant accomplishment includes founding the label Jarring Vibes Records to promote emerging African electronic talent.
