Bugge Wesseltoft is a pioneering Norwegian jazz pianist and composer renowned for blending traditional jazz with electronic music, creating a distinctive "future jazz" sound. Emerging in the early 1990s, Wesseltoft gained international acclaim through his innovative approach that fuses improvisational jazz elements with modern electronic beats and textures. His breakthrough came with the formation of the band New Conception of Jazz, which redefined contemporary jazz by incorporating digital production techniques while maintaining organic musicality.

Throughout his career, Wesseltoft has released numerous critically acclaimed albums, including "New Conception of Jazz" (1996) and "Sharing" (2004), both celebrated for their seamless integration of acoustic and electronic sounds. He has collaborated with prominent artists such as Jan Garbarek, Arild Andersen, and Sidsel Endresen, further cementing his role in shaping Nordic jazz’s global presence.
