Brett Weymark is an Australian guitarist, composer, and educator renowned for his versatile command of both electric and acoustic instruments. Emerging in the 1980s, he initially gained prominence as a session musician, contributing to recordings by Australian artists like Jenny Morris and The Reels. He’s particularly celebrated for his work with Midnight Oil, touring and recording with them extensively from 1990-2002, notably on albums *Earth 3* and *Capricornia*.

Weymark's style blends blues, rock, jazz, and world music influences, often incorporating extended range guitars and looping techniques. Beyond performance, he’s a highly respected guitar pedagogue; holding a PhD in Music (Guitar Performance) from the University of Sydney. He developed the innovative “Weymark Method” – a comprehensive approach to guitar technique focusing on efficiency and musicality – taught globally through workshops and online resources.

He’s released several solo albums showcasing original compositions including *Terra Sonambula* (2005) and *The River Runs Deep* (2017), receiving critical acclaim for his instrumental storytelling.
