Ben Norris is a highly respected and versatile American guitarist, composer, and educator, renowned for his work across jazz, classical, and Brazilian music. Born in 1977, he began formal guitar studies at age nine and quickly distinguished himself, earning a full scholarship to the Berklee College of Music. He later completed a Master’s degree in Jazz Performance at the New England Conservatory.

Norris is perhaps best known as the long-standing guitarist for Grammy-nominated vocalist Cyrille Aimée, touring internationally with her ensemble for over a decade. Beyond this prominent role, he leads his own ensembles, showcasing original compositions and arrangements deeply rooted in Brazilian *choro* tradition. He’s released several albums as a leader including “The Sound of Wings” (2016) and "Monsoon" (2023), receiving critical acclaim for his sophisticated harmonic approach and lyrical playing.

A dedicated educator, Norris has taught at institutions like Berklee and currently holds a faculty position at the New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music. His playing is characterized by clean technique, melodic sensitivity, and a unique blend of influences – making him a sought-after performer and instructor within the contemporary jazz guitar scene.
