Ben Gernon is a British violinist rapidly gaining international recognition for his compelling performances and insightful interpretations. Trained at the Royal College of Music under Itzhak Rashkovsky, he rose to prominence winning the 2018 BBC Young Musician competition. This victory launched his career, leading to debuts with major orchestras including the BBC Symphony Orchestra, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, and Tonhalle Orchester Zürich.

Gernon’s repertoire is broad, encompassing works from Bach and Paganini to contemporary composers like Dobrinka Tabakova, whom he’s championed extensively. He's particularly noted for his emotionally charged readings of Romantic-era concertos – Tchaikovsky and Sibelius being frequent features.

Beyond orchestral appearances, Gernon is an active chamber musician, performing with ensembles across Europe. His debut album featuring works by Prokofiev, Ysaÿe and Tabakova (Chandos Records) received critical acclaim for its technical brilliance and expressive depth. He currently holds a fellowship at the Royal Academy of Music and is building a reputation as a thoughtful and dynamic artist dedicated to connecting with audiences through music.
