Originally from London, Draper honed his skills at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, graduating with First Class Honours. He’s quickly become recognized as a bandleader and sideman of note, collaborating with artists like Nubya Garcia, Moses Boyd, and Soweto Kinch – demonstrating a versatility across diverse jazz subgenres.

Draper’s sound blends influences from classic jazz piano traditions (think McCoy Tyner) with modern harmonic sensibilities and a distinctly soulful undercurrent. His debut EP, *By Any Means*, released in 2021, garnered critical acclaim for its intricate arrangements and emotive performances. He followed this with the highly praised album *404*, released in 2023 on Gondwana Records, which further cemented his reputation as a compelling voice in UK jazz.

Beyond performing and recording, Draper is actively involved in music education, running workshops and mentoring young musicians. He consistently tours both nationally and internationally, captivating audiences with his dynamic live shows and innovative approach to jazz improvisation.
