Behzod Abduraimov is an Uzbek-American classical pianist renowned for his powerful technique, poetic sensitivity, and commanding stage presence. Born in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, in 1990, he began piano studies at age five and rapidly gained international recognition following his prize-winning performances at the International Piano Competition in Cleveland (2009) and the International Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw (2010).
Abduraimov’s repertoire spans a broad range, from Bach and Mozart to Rachmaninoff and Prokofiev, with a particular affinity for Romantic-era composers. He's lauded for his interpretations of challenging works like Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concertos, frequently performing them with leading orchestras globally including the London Symphony Orchestra, Boston Symphony Orchestra, and the Philadelphia Orchestra.
He has released critically acclaimed recordings on DECCA Classics, including albums dedicated to Rachmaninoff and Liszt. A graduate of the Royal Academy of Music in London under Professor Christopher Elton, Abduraimov continues to tour extensively as a solo recitalist and concerto performer, establishing himself as one of the most exciting pianists of his generation.
