Barbora Kabátková is a Czech-British classical pianist renowned for her deeply insightful and emotionally resonant interpretations of Romantic and 20th/21st-century repertoire. Born in Prague, she received her early training at the Prague Conservatory before continuing studies at the Royal Academy of Music in London with Christopher Elton.

Kabátková’s career has seen performances across Europe, North America, and Asia, including recitals at Wigmore Hall, Konzerthaus Berlin, and Carnegie Hall (Weill Recital Hall). She is particularly celebrated for her compelling performances of Janáček – winning First Prize at the International Janáček Piano Competition in 2013 – and has released critically acclaimed recordings dedicated to his works on the Champs Hill Records label.

Her style is characterized by a lyrical touch, nuanced phrasing, and a commitment to exploring the narrative within each piece. Beyond solo performance, Kabátková frequently collaborates with chamber ensembles and orchestras.
