Experience Avalon Cutts-Jones
Avalon Cutts-Jones is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, and vocalist forging a unique path within contemporary jazz and experimental music. Originally from Seattle, Washington, she gained prominence as a member of the critically acclaimed band, Bad Habit, alongside Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, contributing vocals and instrumental arrangements from 2009-2013.
However, Cutts-Jones has since established herself as a compelling solo artist. Her sound blends soulful vocals with intricate jazz harmonies, electronic textures, and spoken word elements – often exploring themes of identity, memory, and social consciousness. She released her debut EP *Empath* in 2016 followed by the full-length album *Siren Song* (2020), which garnered praise for its innovative arrangements and emotional depth.
Cutts-Jones’ work has been featured on KEXP and NPR Music. Beyond her own projects, she is a sought-after collaborator and session musician working with artists across genres. She holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Cornish College of the Arts and continues to push boundaries through live performance and studio experimentation, solidifying her position as a rising voice in independent music.
