Anna Margolina is a highly regarded Russian-American jazz vocalist and pianist, celebrated for her deeply emotive interpretations and improvisational skills. Born in Moscow, she began formal piano training at age five and later studied jazz vocals at the Moscow State University of Culture. Emigrating to the United States in 1991, Margolina quickly established herself on the New York jazz scene.

Her style blends traditional Russian romance with American jazz standards and original compositions, often incorporating Yiddish influences reflecting her family heritage. She's known for a rich, contralto voice and a nuanced phrasing that evokes both vulnerability and strength.
