Aneesa Strings is a Pakistani-American violinist and composer rapidly gaining recognition for her innovative blend of classical training with South Asian musical traditions. Born and raised in New Jersey, she began violin studies at age five and holds a Bachelor of Music from the Eastman School of Music and a Master of Music from the Juilliard School.

Strings’ work transcends genre, seamlessly incorporating elements of Hindustani classical music, jazz improvisation, and contemporary soundscapes. She frequently performs solo and collaborative projects, notably with renowned Pakistani musicians like Ali Sethi and Zeb Bangash. Her compositions often explore themes of identity, displacement, and cultural fusion.

Aneesa has been featured on NPR Music’s *Tiny Desk Concerts* showcasing her unique style and virtuosity. She received the ASCAP Plus Award in 2023 recognizing her compositional work. Beyond performance, Strings is dedicated to music education, leading workshops and masterclasses internationally focused on bridging musical cultures. Her debut EP, released in 2024, garnered critical acclaim for its evocative melodies and skillful arrangements. She continues to tour extensively and develop new projects pushing boundaries within contemporary instrumental music.
