He initially gained prominence as lead vocalist for the acclaimed gospel group, The Potter’s House Choir of Dallas, Texas, under the leadership of Bishop T.D. Jakes. His powerful tenor voice became a signature sound for the choir throughout the late 1990s and early 2000s, featured on several chart-topping albums including *Live at Greater Emmanuel* (1998) and *Change That Thing* (2003).
Hamilton launched his solo career in 2010 with the album *The Gift*, showcasing a blend of gospel, R&B, and jazz influences. Subsequent releases like *New Beginnings* (2014) and *Called to Rise* (2018) further solidified his position as a respected solo artist.
