Andre Power, born Andre Gibson in Chicago, Illinois, is a highly influential DJ, producer, and label head deeply rooted in house music culture. Rising to prominence as one half of the DJ duo The Era alongside DJ Tre’ – initially focused on classic house and garage – Power transitioned to founding Soulful Force in 2008. This label became pivotal in re-introducing and championing the sound of Chicago house, particularly the work of Larry Heard (Mr. Fingers).

Power’s style blends deep, soulful house with elements of jazz and funk, prioritizing emotive melodies and intricate arrangements. He's known for meticulous crate-digging and a dedication to preserving the authenticity of the genre’s origins. Beyond Soulful Force, he’s released on labels like Strictly Rhythm and Large Music, and frequently tours internationally performing at festivals like Movement Detroit and Dimensions Festival.
