Ana Vieira Leite is a Portuguese vocalist and composer rapidly gaining recognition for her unique blend of jazz, fado, and contemporary improvisation. Born in Lisbon, she initially trained classically in piano and voice at the Academia de Música de Lisboa, later pursuing jazz studies at the Hot House Jazz Club. Her vocal style is characterized by a remarkable range, emotive phrasing, and a distinctive timbre often described as both powerful and vulnerable.

Vieira Leite’s debut album, *A Dança*, released in 2019, received critical acclaim for its innovative approach to Portuguese musical traditions. She frequently collaborates with leading figures in the Portuguese jazz scene, including João Paulo Esteves da Silva and Ricardo Coelho. A key accomplishment includes winning the Prémio José Carlos Freitas (Best Vocalist) at the Festival de Fado de Lisboa in 2022 – a significant award recognizing emerging talent within fado while acknowledging her stylistic departures.
