Alyssa Allgood is a versatile American vocalist and multi-instrumentalist, prominently known for her work in progressive metal and vocal jazz. Rising to prominence through her YouTube channel, where she began posting covers in 2007, Allgood quickly gained recognition for her impressive vocal range – spanning five octaves – and technical skill. She’s particularly celebrated for her ability to seamlessly transition between clean singing, growls, and screams.

Allgood fronted the melodic death metal band Severed Skies from 2012-2016, contributing vocals and songwriting to their debut album *Beneath the Shadowed Sun* (2015). Simultaneously, she pursued a parallel career in jazz, performing with various ensembles and releasing the EP *Only Ghosts* (2016), showcasing a markedly different stylistic approach.

Beyond performance, Allgood is an active vocal coach and educator. She's collaborated with numerous artists providing guest vocals and mixing/mastering services. Currently, she continues to release original music independently, blending elements of metal, jazz fusion, and electronic music while maintaining a strong online presence focused on vocal technique and artistry.
