Allison Miller is a highly respected drummer, composer, and educator renowned for her versatile musicianship and innovative approach to jazz and beyond. Born in 1971, she began playing drums at age nine and quickly distinguished herself, graduating from the Berklee College of Music. Miller’s career spans collaborations with a diverse array of artists including Natalie Merchant, Ani DiFranco, Dr. Lonnie Smith, and Rufus Wainwright.

Her stylistic range is broad, encompassing straight-ahead jazz, funk, world music influences (particularly Haitian Vodou drumming which she studied extensively), and progressive rock elements. She leads several projects including *Boom Tic Boom*, a vibrant ensemble showcasing her compositions rooted in polyrhythms and improvisation, and *Parallel Universe*, featuring original works blending jazz with electronic soundscapes.

Miller has received numerous accolades including multiple grants from the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation and New Music USA. She's a committed educator, leading workshops and masterclasses internationally.
