Alexandra Lehmler is a Canadian-German vocalist, composer, and improviser rapidly gaining recognition within contemporary vocal music. Born in Vancouver, she is currently based in Berlin, where she completed studies at the Universität der Künste. Lehmler’s work centers around extended vocal techniques, free improvisation, and the exploration of sonic textures – often eschewing conventional song structure.

Her debut album, *I Am Not a Pop Star* (2021, self-released), garnered critical acclaim for its innovative approach to vocal performance and atmospheric soundscapes. She frequently collaborates with experimental musicians across disciplines, including performances with artists like Rhodri Davies and Magda Mayas.
