AlexAbril is a Dominican-American singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist gaining recognition for his emotionally resonant bachata and Latin urban fusions. Born in New York City and raised with deep roots in Dominican music, Abril initially honed his skills playing guitar and percussion within a traditional bachata ensemble before forging his own path.

He rose to prominence through independent releases and consistent engagement on social media, particularly TikTok, where his song “Me Enamoré” went viral in 2023, amassing millions of streams across platforms. This breakthrough led to a record deal with Warner Music Latina.

Abril’s style blends classic bachata instrumentation – requiring virtuosity on the *requinto* guitar – with contemporary R&B and urban production elements. Lyrically, he explores themes of love, heartbreak, and longing with a poetic vulnerability. His debut EP under Warner, *Promesas*, released in 2024, further solidified his position as a rising star in the Latin music scene, charting on Billboard’s Latin Airplay chart.
