Addis Black Mamba is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, and producer hailing from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, rapidly gaining international recognition for his unique blend of Ethio-jazz, funk, soul, and psychedelic influences. Initially known for his work with the acclaimed Ethiopian Electric Krar Collective (EEKC), where he plays the *krar* (a five-stringed lyre), Black Mamba launched his solo career in 2023 with the EP *Ethiopia On My Mind*.

His music masterfully layers traditional Ethiopian melodies and instrumentation with contemporary production techniques, creating a sound both deeply rooted in heritage and strikingly modern. He skillfully incorporates elements of jazz improvisation and funk grooves into his compositions.

*Ethiopia On My Mind* received critical acclaim from publications like Bandcamp Daily and Pitchfork, praising its innovative approach to Ethio-jazz revivalism.
