Adam Tendler is a New York-based guitarist, composer, and sound artist known for his innovative work blending jazz, improvisation, and experimental music. He began his career studying with renowned guitarist John Abercrombie and quickly established himself within the vibrant downtown New York scene. Tendler’s playing is characterized by a distinctive harmonic language, textural exploration utilizing extended techniques, and a deeply emotive improvisational approach.

He leads several ensembles including his quartet featuring Miles Okazaki, Desmond White, and Dan Weiss – releasing critically acclaimed albums like *Passing Through* (2017) and *Something About April* (2021) on Sunnyside Records. These albums showcase Tendler's compositions which often evoke cinematic landscapes and introspective moods.

Beyond leading groups, Tendler is a sought-after sideman, performing with artists like Vijay Iyer, Rudresh Mahanthappa, and Guillermo Klein.
