Adam Nussbaum is a highly respected American jazz drummer, renowned for his versatility and deeply musical approach. Born in 1964, he began his professional career in the early 1980s, quickly gaining recognition for his work with prominent figures like Michael Brecker, John Scofield, and Kenny Wheeler. Nussbaum’s playing is characterized by its sophisticated harmonic understanding, subtle dynamics, and impeccable timekeeping – a style rooted in both post-bop tradition and modern experimentation.

He’s a long-standing member of Gil Goldstein’s New Klezmer Program, showcasing his ability to seamlessly blend jazz with diverse musical traditions. Nussbaum has extensively recorded and toured with artists including Ron Carter, Dave Liebman, and Gary Burton. Beyond sideman work, he leads his own critically acclaimed ensembles, releasing albums like *Passage* (2011) and *Extradition* (2018), demonstrating his compositional prowess.

A graduate of the Eastman School of Music, Nussbaum remains an active educator through workshops and masterclasses globally.
